Tell your story through R.O.C.K. Camp
What is R.O.C.K. Camp? Will my student be learning about rocks? How much does it cost? How will those 4 days benefit my student? These are all commonly asked questions about R.O.C.K. Camp. To clarify, your student will not be learning about rocks (unless they want to), camp has 3 different sessions depending on what your student’s interests are. If your student is open to camp, they will meet and create friendships that can last all 4 years of college. Now, let me explain…
R.O.C.K. Camp Adventure
This is a spin on the traditional camp experience for students who love the great outdoors. Your student will visit the Buffalo River, where they can camp, hike, canoe, rock climb and zip line. This camp helps build your students ability to work with others and become the ultimate team player! Your student will meet upperclassmen and many incoming freshmen. They will learn a plethora of outdoor skills and jump in headfirst to all the University has to offer. Session 1 for this experience is June 17-22, and session 2 is June 24-29. R.O.C.K. Camp Expedition
This camp expedition experience is a unique way for your student to grow within the Rocky Mountains! They will explore with a small number of other incoming students and upperclassmen through Colorado. Your student will be backpacking through Indian Peaks Wilderness, south of Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a backpacking trip specifically if your student loves’ the outdoors. This trip has a limited amount of spots available, so if this sounds like something your student would love, register NOW! The trip will be July 15-20 and is $699. R.O.C.K. Camp Traditional
This is an extended orientation program meant for your student to immerse themselves within the University of Arkansas culture and traditions before school has officially started. Picture this as more of a transition summer camp, college edition. Your student will move into their residence hall early, followed with activities on campus. They will also visit Camp Heart O’ Hills, in Welling Oklahoma for a float trip and much more. This is a great way to meet other incoming freshmen, upper classmen, professors and staff, and get their feet wet with the University. Session 1 is Tuesday, August 7-10. Session 2 is Monday, August 13-16. The price for this camp is $225.
