UA Connect is the Student Information System for the University of Arkansas. It is a vital part to navigating the administrative portion of the university. UA Connect is the place where students enroll, pay tuition and fees, see holds on their account, update personal information, and when the time comes apply for graduation. All of these things can be accessed through UA Connect and are in the Student Center tab under Self-service.
UA Connect is separated into three major areas: Academics, Finances, and Personal Information. First, we will talk about the Academics tab. In the academics tab, your student can enroll in classes, officially withdraw, check their GPA and class history as well as view their current schedule. Knowing how to access the academics tab will be important every semester because registration for new classes takes place through UA Connect. This will be important because every semester when registering for new classes your student will have to work through UA Connect.
In finances, students can access charge statements as well as financial aid. Most importantly, the finances tab within the UA Connect webpage is where students will be able to pay their fees and accept financial aid.
Under the Personal information tab, students can update their permanent address, mailing address, and other important information details. The personal info section is also where you sign up for RazAlert notifications and sign the FERPA third party release form; which send out weather and emergency alerts and allow guardians to view grades and expenses respectively.
UA Connect also has side features that are extremely helpful. UA Connect displays all holds on your account with a detail of what it is for, and what it keeps you from doing. The system also has a to-do list to help make handling university administration more simple. The advisor section has the name of your students’ advisor, as well as their phone number and email. Finally, it has the important dates section which has the full academic calendar along with final exam schedule info.
