College is an extremely exciting and eventful time in your students’ life. There comes a point in time after freshman year, when your student may become interested in living off campus. It’s not the end of the world!! There are so many options to off campus housing, to fit everyone’s need. Luckily, the university provides housing fairs, which consist of all of the student housing connected with the university and even have a website (offcampus.uark.edu) that answers almost any question you as parents may have.
In the union, your student can visit the off-campus connections lounge for answers about living off campus. Another important thing is that the Razorback Transit travels off campus close to the different partnering off-campus housing facilities, a lot of complexes have their own private shuttles as well. If your student does not have transportation, they will still have transportation to and from campus. Yes, living off campus is a big deal, but all of the information provided and available makes the move a lot easier for not only the students but you, the parents as well.
