We all know Fayetteville is home to some of the best eats in the south, but it can be hard to find the best ones without a few recommendations from friends. And the best recommendations come from college aged friends, who eat more than anyone else. I polled the University of Arkansas students who follow my Instagram to find the best places to eat in Fayetteville!
Brunch:
This wouldn’t be a UArk food blog without mentioning some of the best brunch spots in town, where you can also snag a cute photo for your Instagram while out with friends.
Arsaga’s at the Depot (check out the Arsaga’s on campus in the Law Library, affectionately called Lawsaga’s!)
The Farmer’s Table Café
Prelude Breakfast Bar
Rick’s Iron Skillet
Einstein Bros. Bagels (check out the two locations on campus-in Willard J. Walker Hall and Bell Engineering!)
Mexican Food:
College students love cheap food and good deals, and there’s nowhere better than our many local Mexican restaurants. Almost all of them run deals for college students on certain nights, so check them out to see when you can get the best deal for the best grub!
Tacos 4 Life
La Huerta Mexican Restaurant (for Taco Tuesday!)
Con Quesos Fusion Tacos
Jose’s Mexican Restaurant
Torchy’s Tacos
Mojito’s Mexican Grill
Mexico Viejo (try the famous Steven’s Special!)
All-American Food:
Sometimes we all just need the comforts of home food while we’re away at college, and that includes some classic all-American food. These restaurants include delicious hamburgers, grilled cheese, pizza, sandwiches, BBQ, and some delicious southern home cooking!
Hugo’s (best burgers in town)
JJ’s
Damgoode Pies
Sassy’s
Hammontrees (gourmet grilled cheese!)
Smitty’s Garage Burgers
Woodstone
Southern Food Co.
Loafin’ Joes
Feltner Brothers
Adventurous Eats:
When you’re feeling a little adventurous, Fayetteville has lots of delicious cuisines to try out! From Italian to Thai, Fayetteville has all your favorite foods covered!
Gerladi’s (Italian food!)
Taste of Thai
Le Petit Bistro (French food!)
Wasabi (sushi!)
Noodles
Ginger
Chao’s Chinese and Thai Hot Food on College Avenue (fun Thai food truck!)
Petra (Mediterranean!)
Thai Diner
Meez and Kinni
Shogun (dinner and a show!)
Preacher’s son
Mamaka (famous for their smoothie bowls and cute décor!)
Finally, I thought it would be fun to poll my followers about which is the best dining hall on campus. Since I was only allowed to provide two options, I asked the age-old question, “Brough or Fulbright?” 67% of people who answered voted for Brough, and said they liked it for its convenience on campus, increased selection, and tons of delicious desserts. Those who voted for Fulbright said they like it for its quality of items, build your own pasta bar, and closeness to many residence halls. Both dining halls are delicious, so I encourage you to try out both and make your decision about the best dining hall on campus!
Fayetteville is definitely home to some delicious food, and college students know that better than anyone. I hope you give a few of these restaurants a try, share my list with your student and have them explore Fayetteville by discovering their favorite restaurants!
