Fayetteville is known for the cool and funky events that they always put on over the weekends. Your student will never be bored or have nothing to do on a weekend. If it is fall time, there is more than likely a football game to be attended. The University gets crazy for the Hogs, and so does the campus. Your student can walk through the parking lot of the football field and there will be tailgates galore. You will not starve on game day, that is a known fact.

If it is a Sunday morning and you want a Sunday fun day experience than go to the local farmer’s market. In the fall and spring, the weather is gorgeous and your student can just bask in the sun while looking at cute booths, they even have a tent where you can buy flowers, and who doesn’t love flowers!

I know how crazy momma’s can get for shopping! Fayetteville is iconic for the cute, trendy, and unique boutiques throughout the town. Whether your student is in the square, they can stop by Riff Raff, or on Dickson Street and can go into ELeigh’s, or Something Urban. The trends vary, and some boutiques even carry men’s clothing such as Something Urban. And who doesn’t love some good shopping?

Blues, Bikes, and Barbecues is an essential Fayetteville gathering during the fall. Fayetteville will be filled with people on motorcycles for 4 days straight. Cars will become foreign. Your student can find some great music and barbecue food, this is a great family gathering, or if your student just wanted some good food on a Friday night with their friends, they will not be disappointed.

Arkansas is known for its beautiful nature and sights.  Whether it is Saturday morning and your student wants to be glorified in the beautiful Fayetteville view, check out Mount Sequoyah. It shows off the reason half of us came to Arkansas! Or if they are into sporty outdoorsy things, Devils Den is a great hiking location. This will give them the cardio and view all in one.

Once spring time comes around, everyone will be at Baum Stadium supporting our Razorback Baseball team! Each year the student body grows and the attendance at the games reaches its all- time high. Families and college students enjoy this nice weather and good entertainment. Between BBQ’s and sunny days, nothing can beat this spring time activity.

You name it and Fayetteville will have it with a twist, it is all for community involvement and putting on fun events that not only the college crowd will love but also the residents that live here. Fayetteville, Arkansas is definitely one of the best places your student will ever live and experience.
